About Us
The Gringos
The Founders, Chris & Lexy, are both American transplants (a.k.a. GRINGOS). Together they have over 30 years of experience. Our Executive Chef and owner Chris, has created a very exciting menu that utilizes all 27 years of his Mexican culinary experience. Chris & Lexy are very excited to bring a fresh taste of Mexico to Putney.
The Fresh Food
We use fresh local produce, free-range meats with no added hormones, fresh locally sourced seafood and we go organic whenever possible. Then combine all of that with beautiful Mexican ingredients. Our meats are lightly seasoned, grilled, seared and then slow cooked for 3-4 hours in our marinade until fork tender. Our fresh prawns and barramundi are pan fried fresh to order. We are open for Lunch and Dinner with a full liquor license. We can accommodate for most dietary requirements......no dairy....no problem, vegan.....no problem, no gluten....not a problem. Just ask and we'll take care of you!!
Alcoholic Drinks
All of our cocktails are made fresh in house. We infuse our 1800 Silver tequila with chilies for our Spicy Margarita. Our Classic Margarita uses a premium 1800 Reposado tequila with Grand Marnier to create something truly special. We have Young Henrys Pale Ale and our very own Gringos Cerveza Lager on tap along with an assortment of other bottled Mexican beers. We also have local wine and other cocktails to help you sit back, relax and enjoy life. Margaritas & Beers.....enough said!!

We make everything fresh in house. Our free range meats are grilled and slow cooked in our marinade for 3-5 hours until fork tender. We pan fry our large, sustainable prawns fresh to order.
